New Golf News

Gentlemen of SIR Golf. We are trying to encourage as many of you as we can to attend the City Council meeting on Tuesday Evening May 1st at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is held in the basement at 1010 10th steet. This is especially important for the Yearly Pass holders. We need to assemble as a group to show our dissapointment in the taking away of the Yearly Pass. This is an important issue not only to SIR, but all senior golfers in Modesto.

We all live on a fixed income, and feel we need to come together as one voice to show our outrage of the situation. This is especially imortant to those whose pass has just expired, or is about to expire within the next month or two.

If you want to be heard individually, you must sign up when you arrive. There is an open forum which will allow you to speak even though you have not registered to do so. So again, please make an effort to be there.

1.      The new Punch Cards are now available.

2.      If you are not familiar with the new punch cards, here are the facts:

·        The new cards are available in two multiples. The twenty punch ticket is good for 20 rounds of 18 holes for $280 (that is equivalent to $14/round). This card is good for nine months and includes two ½ off Cart rentals and two buckets of range balls.

·        The ten punch card is 10 rounds of 18 holes for $160 ($16/round) and is good for 6 months. This includes ½ off of one cart rental and one bucket of range balls.

                        These above specials are for seniors 62 years of age and older.

4.      Computerized Tee Times are still being worked on and will be available soon.

5.      Upcoming in the Spring of 2012 but no solid date. Golf schools for women, parents and seniors at Creekside. Cost is not available at this time.

6.      Here are 3 Specials to keep in mind:

a. Golf-All-You-Want Sundays – Golf all you want with a shared cart and one lunch special on Sunday afternoon for just $30 through the end of September.

c. $25 Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays – Play 18 holes anytime after 11:00 a.m. along with a shared cart.
